Vikesh Anand is the Founder and President of STUTTA, the Australian Stuttering Association and a TEDx speaker. Vikesh believes in empowering people who stutter to embrace their individual journeys. Building confidence in himself has allowed Vikesh to say what he wants to say, regardless of how the words come out. Vikesh’s passion is evident the moment he walks onto the stage, whether it's to advocate for the stuttering community or make people laugh with his stand up comedy.
Sarah Horton is a person who stutters, a speech pathologist, and a postdoctoral research fellow at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne. She completed her PhD through the University of Melbourne, focusing on phenotyping stuttering across the lifespan. Sarah is also a volunteer teaching artist with the Stuttering Association for the Young Australia (SAY: AU). Sarah has a personal and professional interest in raising awareness about stuttering by educating the public and empowering people who stutter to speak up and have their voices heard.
Dr Cameron Raynes is a historian, writer, and person who stutters. He lectures at the University of South Australia, holds a PhD in Anthropology from Charles Darwin University, and his work was crucial to the successful outcome of the first stolen generations case in Australia.
Cameron gives an annual talk to undergraduate and postgraduate speech pathology students at Flinders University on what it’s like to grow up with a stutter. He is vice-chair of the Stamily board and enjoys taking photographs and making short films in his spare time.
